Me and my husband were celebrating our wedding anniversary the weekend before Halloween and this is such a fun activity to do! We loved making our own brooms! Such a unique activity! Loved having all the different options available to help create your master piece. It’s also nice having 2 teachers walk you through the process step by step and to also help assist when necessary! (Can get a little tricky!) CHECK THEM OUT! Highly recommend booking in advance - like we did but, if you can’t get in to make your own broom they also sell at home kits as well which is super cool!

Great book binding class. Excellent instruction... and high quality materials. Store has very Salem centric classes and products for everyone to enjoy. Sometimes I'm hesitant to sign up for classes since I would not consider myself "Artsy".. but, the class was taught in a way that I was able to follow along with ease, use the tools , and produce a great book. One of the best classes I've been to in the area.

Great place to visit if you're in the Salem area. They offer book binding and broom making classes. My wife and I did the book binding class and it was a lot of fun and the instructor was super helpful! Definitely check this place out.

JC was the instructor for the broom making class on Monday, October 2nd, 2023. He was a great instructor and a great person! I had a great time! I will mention that it would be nice to have an option to reserve a broom handle length online when you book your class. I and another person in the class wanted a full sized broom and they "ran out the day before." So that might be something they would consider when offering bookings. Even if there was an extra $10-$20 to reserve a specific length onlinewhen booking the class,I would've paid it. Overall, was a great experience and loved making my besom!

We came for the Moon Witch performance. It was absolutely amazing and a must-see for visitors. You get a real taste of witchcraft and even a short tarot reading (if you want) at the end! This performance is not located at The Witchery studio at 86 Wharf. It’s located at 61 Wharf which is tucked away across the street behind Coven. I do wish the email confirmation mentioned this because it was a bit tricky to find. I think that’s why a few people were late, but they waited for everyone to arrive before they started! The seating is communal, typically four seats to a table so if you have a smaller party be prepared to sit with strangers (potential new friends!). It helps to have basic knowledge of witchcraft and tarot before you see the show but if you don’t, don’t worry. They explain most of it at the end. Try not to be caught up in confusion and just enjoy it. A lot of the craft is what YOU make it, so find meaning in it where you can. There is also extremely relaxing live music, I believe a mandolin? Bravo :)

I went in 2022 and took their book binding and broom making class. They were wonderful classes I had so much fun and I love my book and broom. I took the classes back to back and they were kind about me taking a little longer to finish from the first class and let me group my payment. I think back on the experience fondly and can't wait to visit again.

This was the best experience I had on my visit to Salem, MA. Our teacher Margret was patient, experienced and fun! The shop had a fantastic crafty vibe. There were great accoutrements to choose from so you could be creative. It was a unique and on-themed event. 10/10 make sure you book ahead so you get a chance to visit and partake. If you are flying and can’t take a broom home in your checked bag, the UPS near the shop has broom sized shipping boxes!
